Initial Consultation Fee

Sri’s initial consultation fees for his self-pay clients range between £200 to £250, depending on the location of the appointment.  Initial consultation appointments last up to 1 hour. Initial consultation appointments do not involve any assessments nor examination.

You can choose to book an initial appointment or a consultation only appointment if you have any concerns regarding the developmental, behavioural, emotional, or educational aspect of your child. You can choose an initial consultation to help you decide before you undergo a full assessment.

Follow Up Consultation Fees

Sri’s fees for any follow-up consultation for self-pay patients range between £150 to £200, depending on the place of practice/appointment. These follow up appointments last for up to 45 mins. These appointments are likely to involve an examination or an assessment.

Follow up consultations are offered for clients who have previously undergone a full assessment.

Full Neurodevelopmental Assessments

The cost for the full Neurodevelopmental Assessment for conditions such as Autism, ADHD, Dyspraxia, or any other neurodevelopmental condition, varies with each child, the complexity of the case and the location of the appointment. However, you will be informed in writing about the cost of the assessment on receipt of your enquiry.

If you have already had an initial consultation, then £100 to £150 will be deducted from the cost of the full neurodevelopmental assessment.

Most clients prefer to undergo a full neurodevelopmental assessment instead of an initial consultation, then followed by an assessment. However, some clients with private medical cover are advised by their insurer to undergo an initial consultation before they authorise a full assessment. The choice is yours. Sri will be happy to oblige with whichever option you prefer.

The exact fees along with a copy of the mandatory CMA letter will be provided to you by Sri’s secretary at the time of booking.

Fees for extra administration

Sri and his team will email you a detailed and comprehensive clinic letter summarising crucial aspects from your history, your child’s physical examination, growth assessment, results of developmental tests carried out along with the recommended management plan, to you and your referrer/GP. A clinic letter is dictated, transcribed, and sent to you and your GP within five working days. The cost of the clinic letter is included in the consultation/assessment fees.

 However, on occasions, Sri is requested to carry out additional administration, i.e. respond to your/your GP’s email enquiry, require him to go through additional documentation, address concern from school/therapist, or ask us to review the results of investigations etc. The cost of this extra clinic administration time would be £45 per enquiry/email/letter or £90/hour. This is to cover our costs of clinic rent, staff, dictation, admin, typing, posting, filing the correspondence etc.

Further tests + investigations

Following assessment, your child may need additional assessments/tests to help Sri diagnose your child’s condition.  If further assessment, by a Speech and Language Therapist or a Psychologist, is required, then you can enquire about the fees for these assessments with the respective professional of your choice, who will then charge their fees to you or your private medical insurer, separately.

Payment

Full payment is required for self-funding patients before the appointment. For clients with private health insurance, we will need your ‘policy number’ and an ‘authorisation code’ from your insurer, at the time of booking.

The billing and accounts team will accept Mastercard and Visa Card, but not American Express.

Cancellation

Cancellations are rare in Sri’s practice. Should you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the appointment charge OR an amount of £100.00 (initial consultation) and £75.00 (follow-up consultation) may be charged to cover our fixed costs.

A partial or full waiver of the cancellation costs can be offered in exceptional circumstances.

Private Medical Insurance

If you have private medical insurance, please contact your insurer before your consultation, to check the terms of your policy. In particular, the level and type of outpatient cover you have, including any reimbursement limits on individual consultation fees.
