Initial Consultation Fee

My initial consultation fees for self-pay clients are £300 ex-London and £400 in London. These appointments last up to 1 hour. Initial consultation appointments do not involve any assessments nor examination. You will receive a summary clinic letter following our consultation.

You can choose to book an initial consultation only appointment if you have any concerns regarding your child’s development, behaviour, emotional, or educational aspect. You may choose to have an initial consultation to help you decide whether to proceed to a full neurodevelopmental assessment.

Follow Up Consultation Fees

My follow-up consultation fees for self-pay clients are £300 (ex-London) and £400 (London). These follow up appointments last for up to 60 mins. These appointments are likely to involve an examination or an assessment. These appointments are reviewing the effectiveness of medications, start a new medication e.g., anti-ADHD medication or Melatonin, or monitor your child’s development, behaviour, or functioning.

Follow up consultations are offered to clients who have previously undergone a full neurodevelopmental assessment. You will receive a summary clinic letter following our follow up appointment.

Full Neurodevelopmental Assessments

The cost for the full Neurodevelopmental Assessment (NDA) for conditions such as Autism/ASD, ADHD, Dyspraxia, or other condition, will be provided to you on receipt of your inquiry. The cost of the NDA varies with the type of the appointment, the complexity of the case and the location of the appointment.

However, if you have already had an initial consultation, then a charge of £100 can be deducted from the cost of the full neurodevelopmental assessment for self-pay clients.

Most clients prefer to undergo a full neurodevelopmental assessment instead of an initial consultation, followed by an assessment. However, some clients with private medical cover are advised to undergo an initial consultation by their insurers before they authorise a complete evaluation. The choice is yours. I will be happy to oblige with whichever option you prefer.

The exact fees along with a copy of the CMA/Welcome letter will be provided to you by my secretary at the time of booking.

Fees for extra administration

My team will email you a detailed and comprehensive clinical report summarising crucial aspects from your history, your child’s physical examination, their growth assessment, along with the results of developmental tests carried out including my recommended management plan, to you. A copy of this report will be sent to your referrer/GP. You should expect to receive this report, in most cases, within 3-5 working days. The cost of this clinical report is included in your appointment fees.

However, on occasions, I am asked to carry out additional work following the assessment, i.e., respond to your/your GP’s email, request me to go through other documentation, address queries from school/therapist, or review the results of investigations etc. The cost of this extra clinical administration time would be £50 per enquiry/email/letter or £100/hour. This covers our costs of clinic rent, staff, dictation, admin, typing, posting, filing and correspondence.

Further tests + investigations

Following the assessment, your child may need additional assessments/tests to help me to diagnose or deal with your child’s condition. Suppose a further review, e.g., by a Speech and Language Therapist or a Psychologist, is required. In that case, you can enquire about their prices for these assessments directly with them. These professionals will charge their fees to you or your insurer, directly. I can provide information on therapists, on request, for you to choose from. Alternatively, you may already know of a therapist or prefer to go with a therapist elsewhere. I would be happy with whatever your choice is.

Payment

Full payment is required for self-funding patients 48 hours before the appointment.

For clients with private health insurance, we will need your ‘policy number’ and an ‘authorisation code’ for the invoiced amount, in writing from your insurer, at the time of booking. I would request my insured clients to note that they remain fully responsible for payment of any fees their insurer declines to pay.

Cancellation

Cancellations are rare in my practice. Should you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, then a cancellation fee of £100.00 may be charged, to cover our fixed costs. A partial or complete waiver of the cancellation costs can be offered in exceptional circumstances.

Private Medical Insurance

If you have private medical insurance, please contact your insurer before booking an appointment, to check your policy’s terms. You are advised to review the level and type of outpatient cover you have, including any reimbursement limits on individual consultation fees.
